Understanding linked account statuses and how they affect billing

A Linked Account represents a single connection between Merge and a third-party platform. Linked Accounts can be in either production or testing and have varying statuses depending on connection health. Here's how each affects billing:

Test Linked Accounts

Never counted toward billing

Production Linked Accounts

  • Complete - counted towards billing

    • Accounts that are live and refreshing data at a specified frequency

  • Incomplete - not counted towards billing

    • Accounts that are missing credentials or never finished connecting

  • Relink Needed - not counted towards billing

    • Accounts that have expired credentials and are no longer syncing

  • Idle - counted towards billing

    • Accounts that have valid credentials but fall into either of these categories:

      • You have not made an inbound request to the Linked Account for 2 weeks

      • You have not responded to a webhook for the Linked Account in 2 weeks
