Can I get access to sandbox accounts?
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Merge-owned sandbox accounts are available to Professional and Enterprise Plan customers.
What are Merge sandbox accounts?
Merge maintains shared sandbox environments for a subset of supported integrations so you can test the Unified API end-to-end before connecting a real production system. Sandbox accounts are issued on request and rotate on a fixed schedule.
If you only need a quick proof of concept, the Configurations page in your dashboard also links to free trials offered directly by supported providers.

How do I request sandbox access?
Submit the sandbox request form at
https://mergeapi.typeform.com/sandboxes.Provide a team email address (not a personal account) when submitting the request.
Once the request is processed, the Merge team will share the credentials with you via 1Password.
Note: Sandbox credentials typically expire after 30 days. To continue testing past expiration, submit a new request through the same form and the team will provide updated credentials.
What should I know about shared sandboxes?
Merge-provided sandboxes are shared environments used by multiple customers simultaneously. To keep them usable for everyone:
Only modify or delete data that you created yourself.
Do not change the main admin user credentials — doing so can lock other customers out of the sandbox.
Use the existing admin credentials that were provided to you; you don't need to create a separate admin user.
You can freely create your own test records, sub-accounts, and additional configuration inside the sandbox — just scope your changes to the data you own.
If you need a dedicated sandbox with custom configuration, you'll need to provision one directly with the integration provider (for example, NetSuite or Workday). Merge does not issue private, per-customer sandboxes for those platforms.
How do I renew sandbox access?
When your credentials expire, resubmit the sandbox request form at https://mergeapi.typeform.com/sandboxes. The Merge team will issue refreshed credentials through 1Password using the same process as the initial request.
